This is my new favorite food place: 5 stars all across the board! The staff is exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and patient with questions. The food choices are more abundant than other similar build a bowl style restaurants.
Royce chocolate is one of Boston's best chocolate companies. I think that it is truly one of the best chocolates in the world. The milk in their milk chocolate comes from cows in Hokkaido, Japan...
THE DEAL: if you want some of the best chocolate in Boston, you have to try Royce chocolates!
My Service Dog, Dr Smallz, and I had so much fun this summer visiting the 75 cows in the Boston Cow Parade! The "cow parade" is the largest international public art exhibit, and not to be missed. This event is sponsored by Herb Chambers auto company.
THE DEAL: the cow parade is only on display from June through September, and each cow is a one of a kind work of art!
I'm gonna be honest, right up front... I expected this art exhibit to be a little... Boring. I am so happy to be wrong! They have some thing for everyone. The first floor is a mix of adult and children's pieces.
THE DEAL: the art of the brick was worth every Lego that went into creating it. Fun for the whole family!
We live in Boston, and made a day trip to Carson Beach. My guest wanted to go for a walk... We ended up on Dorchester Harborwalk... A beautiful, sidewalk path following the ocean.
THE DEAL: if you visit Carson Beach, and you like to keep active, and LOVE that fresh ocean air, take a stroll along the Dorchester Harborwalk!
I visited my friend, who lived at the Clarendon Residences, located at 140 Clarendon Street. It's right across from the nicest condo building in the neighborhood, "One Back Bay," where *I* live.
THE DEAL: don't pay top dollar to live in Back Bay, BUT at the Clarendon residences. I residents there wander the halls, aimlessly, eyes glazed.
THE DEAL: 533 of her 866 Yelp reviews end with THE DEAL. Now you know where the habit comes from.

Arnaud’s, New Orleans. Her take on the Baked Alaska: “its flaming presentation was excellent.” The rest of the review was firm, but fair.

Four acts, one Lynn
Long before the reviews, there was a stage. Then another one. Then a finish line.
The pop superhero
As Cookie Cutter Girl, a self styled 21st century pop superhero, Lynn played girl power pop with a punch. Rolling Stone heard her song “Pain” and said she “sounds like Nashville’s version of Fiona Apple.”
After a 2006 fall on stage put her in and out of a wheelchair for years, she relearned to walk and started acting in 2012. About two dozen screen credits followed, from an evil nun in Witch Hunters to FX’s Married, plus the cover of Imagine magazine in June 2016.

The finish line
On April 15, 2013, Lynn was near the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street, in her own Back Bay neighborhood, and was hurt in the bombing. A year later, on April 21, 2014, she crossed that same finish line herself in the mobility impaired division. It was the first run of her life. SELF later counted her among the most inspirational women who have run Boston.
“I fought my way out of that wheelchair, and I fought my way across that finish line.”
The advocate and critic
Today she speaks on resilience, volunteers as a patient advocate with groups like the U.S. Pain Foundation, and has shared her story in published anthologies, including Outrunning the Demons (Bloomsbury, 2019). And wherever she goes, she writes it up.
“I wear more hats than a Hydra has heads!”
THE DEAL: every act ends the same way. She gets back up and goes somewhere new.
In print and on air
From Rolling Stone to StoryCorps, twenty years of people writing about Lynn for a change.
